Jade's GONNA...2005

1. Enrol herself in a Ballet class - not the ones with the tiny tots but with adults, lest she is less flexible that the tiny tots and the parents observing say "Aiyo...so old where can dance already!"

2. Possibly take up a art design course in One Academy or something cuz I think Jade has some creative talent with colors and concepts. Ooops..though I can only paint flowers and can't draw people for nuts!

3. Save more money...cuz expenditure for a month is devastatingly high. The cost of eating cardboard in Mid Valley averages at RM 6.00 a day or more!

4. Be more organized and less forgetful and more punctual, and take baths after meetings, cuz if I take baths like 5 minutes before the meeting time, obviously I'll be late =) But I love baths!

5. Sit up straight more often, else my S curved spine will turn " & "

6. Wake up earlier to do my quiet time because it get's "snoringly" noisy at night. Too quiet until I fall asleep

7. Walk the Bangsar hill with her exercise "kaki's"! And try to do it in the morning before work!

8. Work at more efficient speed, and less humdrum.

9. Help ma more often - actually I've improved. I wash the dishes, arrange the clothes but she will be shell-shocked if I start cooking, so...maybe when I really need to. Like a Maggi mee will do. Hahaha!

10. Be nicer to my cat. Feed "Mummy" cat lest she sleeps on my bed with all her ticks in spite!

Jade's "WOO HOO - ING"... 2004

1. Cancer free for my grand dad. His report just came back today. Seriously, cancer free. His whole entire frame was dotted with cancer just eight years ago.

2. Good job and interesting scope of work. Learning to write, churn out interesting proposals and clinching the deal!

3. Got to perform some dance items, and hopefully for 2005 - to train up more dancers (by really good teachers)

4. Met someone who could kinda complete my sentence and forgive my misgivings =)

5. No complaints from Clients - so far, all sticking to our company for next year (the accounts that I have handled at least!)

6. Went to the Mulu National Park, which was absolutely beautiful. Caves were so magnificent and the pristine clear, cool water at Camp 5

7. A camera which I can click away at anytime, Canon Ixus 4.0

8. Good deals and bargains. Like the dress from P&Co. Retailing at RM 129. I got it for RM 29!

9. Time to swim and walk - at least twice a week!

10. Friends - good friends who stick with me, look out for me and "teman" me go shopping - even when I spend hours looking for that ONE dress and I won't buy - till I find one with the right price and right design!

Tsunami Effects

Who said Malaysia would never be hit by some earth quake or tremors? We had it right there and then yesterday, but KL was relatively unaffected.

Penangites - I hope you guys are handling it well. And government efforts to make Penang the "Pearl of the Orient" once again in its full glory would have to be shelved for now. I think the escalating death tolls at about 50 - 60 people at about 2 pm (press time), should have increased by now. I mean, there were 30 unaccounted for.

How about those caught in the Thai diving cave. Man, they were so lucky that they could they were saved! 2 casualties out of the 70 that were caught there is amazing. So thankful more did not perish.

I guess the thing that hit home was the fact that this was in our homeland, and it really could have hit our closest kin. I called up all my friends up north to see how there were doing.

" Well, apart from the massive jam, it's been ok" said one of my friends.

Another cheekily added "There's a sampan on the road. A first!"

Well, not so funny for a working partner from O&M who got hit by the tidal wave while haveing a holiday with her hubbie in Phuket.

Thank God they survived - but she's being hospitalised for a swollen leg. Effects of a tree. Hanging on for dear life or she got pinned under?

As for the 3,000 deaths (23,750 deaths reported as of 28 December 2004) in the Asian region in one single night/day, it's more than just shocking. One minute you're there, the next you're gone.

As for the terrorist and the souring Malaysia - Thailand - Indon relations, this would definitely jolt us up to see that hey, life's more than terrorist breeding grounds!

Go help your country men and stop pointing fingers, Mr Thaksin!

Then again, I wouldn't be too surprised if Malaysia was a terrorist breeding ground - since a local univeristy lecturer was involved as well.

Imagine the doctrine he was feeding his unassuming, young freshie university graduates.

Rumour has it that there may be more tremors to come.

Be wary, Malaysians, Asians and all alike.

Naked Natural...

Flowers - Close up shot. No alterations made.

This is without any touch-ups done. It looks happy already! Shows the full colors of the flowers.
I like this - when I need to show colors.

-jade-

I Like This...

Flowers - More close -up, not so grainy photo, used more contrast than the light

This is my fav shot of the four photos. Trying to bring out more of the color contrast - the white flowers at least. Not so grainy shot - not so six-feet-under like.

Happier picture.

-jade-

In Remembrance Of...

Flowers- Used adobe to increase the lighting contrast and basically add more light as well

This looks a bit like something from six feet under. Like a long, sleek black coffin and some white flowers on top. Plus, there's a large sized photo framed up behind the whole do. It's actually my grad photo.

Funny how lighting can totally change the scenario. This is - Solemn.

Too Plastic

Flowers - Using bright flash

Too much color this one. Not very sombre. And rather China - made feel to the whole do. Prefer the sombre "funeral" like - black. Perhaps, I am more gothic!

Too happy. Too plastic.

Kid's will be kids...

Kid's Church Christmas Party

We spent 3-4 marathon hours trying to put up the deco for church. I'm prettttttty proud of my design team cuz there were more guys than gals and everyone helped out so much! Thanks guys!

See that big guy on the floor - that's Min Fook holding baby Emma. Actually not much of a baby anymore!

That's Sporty the clown doing some tricks for the kids to see. The kids and parents were absolutely delighted with the whole performance. Makes me think of wanting to get a p/time job as a clown or something! Good money man...

Alright then, say...anybody know how to post 1 or more pictures simultaneously without having to add on a new post....cuz everytime i wanna post a picture, i have to open a new post. Is it the template probs or what?

Like, you want to add to your old post - how to add photos? Anyway, maybe I got the answer already. Shucks.

Whizz kids - come aid your fellow not so whizz maiden here =) . Yes. No. Hmm...

Catch ya later people,

Kena Denda...

All Work & Some Play at Office

TOILET RULE

I have a knack of going to the toilet quite often in a day. Let's see..for today, it's about 11.40 am now and I've been to the toilet 3 times already. I woke up at about 8. 30 am.

Anyway, my office has a really weird flushing system in the toilet. The thing is when you do your business, and you flush - you need to wait there for awhile to see whether you need to flush a second time. Else, the water will keep running, and you'll be chalking up the water bill.

So, my brilliant colleague came up with a SIGNBOARD which you'll have to carry when you forget to flush the toilet.

She can HEAR the water running from a mile away!

So, here's me being PUNISHED for not flushing TWICE!

Funny office we have =)

GIFT EXCHANGE

Another thing that we have is the gift exchange, where we need to pick a name from the lot - and buy a gift for that person. The gift has to be RM 10 and below. The twist is that we have a gift exchange in the pantry, which we can request for stuff, and also put in our dislikes.

So, my likes were: bath sponge set, shampoo, hair clips & anything from Body Shop!
dislikes: soft toys and food

UPCOMING EVENT - FRIM CANOPY WALK

Every month, we have a company R&R and we usually close half day for that trip - to anyway.
The places that we have been to include:

1) Kuala Selangor ( Catching glimpses of fireflies)
2) The Waterfall at Hulu Langat and eating at a really fiece woman's house in the depths of Hulu Langat
3) Kuching Trip - to the Orang Utan Sanctuary, a tour of the city, Bako National Park
4) Visit to the PM's Department, Putrajaya

The upcoming R&R is unique as it's on a Saturday and we're going to go to the canopy walk in FRIM. We're also going to trek up to the water falls.

Not bad for a company - since we like the outdoors and going together with your colleagues is real fun! You get to see all types of out-of -office characters come to life.

Chilling out at Hulu Langat

Chilling out at Hulu Langat

I thought these pics were really nice. A glimpse of what goes on in my company. We go for R&Rs - one of them was to Hulu Langat.
